MAKING AND USING SILK SCREENS FOR CERAMICS with Rita Vali
Join us for a workshop with Guild Member Rita Vali the first weekend in January!
Saturday, January 4, 10am-4pm and Sunday January 5, 11am-3pm
Explore making and using your own silk screen with the EZScreen Print system and Heat
Transfer Vinyl/Polyester fabric. Learn when and how to use silk screen imagery on ceramics using your own artwork. Learn how to prepare ceramic ‘inks’ from underglaze. Participants will make their own screens and practice using them on prepared tiles or your own leather-hard pieces. If time allows, we will explore using a gelli plate for monoprinting using silk screens. This workshop is appropriate for anyone with basic clay skills.
The workshop will be held at the Boulder Potters’ Guild 3185 Sterling Cir. Boulder CO.
